Software updates are supplied to apply fixes to known application, browser, and operating system security vulnerabilities. - Don’t ignore requests from your devices to apply security updates. Your devices (computers, laptops, mobile phones, tablets etc.) will tell you when their operating system needs to be updated. All you need to do is press 'ok'.
- Select auto-update for apps/software on your devices. Apply automatic updates to ensure your applications are kept up-to-date (and reduce the number of pop-ups asking you to apply updates). Some applications also offer built-in updater services.
- Check your devices and software are up-to-date. Make a habit of manually checking for software updates where automatic updates can’t be applied and make sure your automatic updates are being applied as you'd expect them to be.
