This guide is a simple step by step guide on how to use conferencing via Jabber and illustrates the benefits compared to using a Spider Conference phone.
Prerequisites
A laptop or PC
A Cisco Jabber account (please make a request to the IT Service Centre if you don't already)

Using Cisco Jabber: Mobile and Desktop
1. Click on the Windows Key and type in Jabber to search for the application
2. Log into Cisco Jabber
Once installed, log into the Cisco Jabber App using your University credentials (username@ZenUni.ac.uk)
3. Search for Conference Now or type 591100
4. Click on the Dial icon in green and select either option; work or home
6. For hosts - Enter your meeting number followed by # and your pin code followed by # as prompted - Skip to Step 8
7. For guests - Enter the meeting number provided to you followed by # and the attendee access code followed by # as prompted
8. Add UoD Staff to Conference Call
Type the phone number in or search using the name of the individual (if they are part of the organisation) by typing in the search box and click on the name as demonstrated on the image below
9. Click the call button
10. If staff have multiple phone numbers you will get an option to select which number you want to dial
11. Click on the door icon to allow staff to join
